Gann is a successful trader?
Gann introduced the application of mathematics, geometry, astronomy and astrology in business. Earlier then that nobody had the slightest idea that there can be something like science or natural law in business and stock. The professional life of W.D Gann is no less than a pleasant series of surprises as he achieved greatest things in the greatest ways. The foremost amazing fact about Gann is that he never accomplished his education and this thing was never able to put him down. He had very strong religious beliefs and the frequent reading and deeming upon Bible gave him food for thought that ultimately encouraged him to make his mark.
The first cotton futures contract was made in1902 when he was 24. He had a very appreciable profit from that first contract and after that contract; there was absolutely no looking back for him. Later in New York in 1903, he commenced his personal fir of brokerage and named it as W.D Gann & Co. this form too turned out to be a great success and raised up the spirits of Gann. Even today, the Gann’s firm of brokerage is supposed to be the best brokerage firm.
In 1906, when Gann shifted to Ohakama he settle upon the decision of becoming a trader and broker by profession. Just after this decision of Gann in 1906, his life underwent a drastic change and this was the time when people business and investor’s community actually started recognizing him. In 1908, he again moved to New York and practically started the proper research about his stock laws and techniques. Gann was 30 at that time, at that juncture he came up with the masterpiece of “Master Time Factor”, and this book made Gann the king of Wall Street. By then a phrase about Gann started, that was “The greatest man, ever walked on Wall Street.”

The ticker and investment digest was a very renowned and sought after magazine of 1909. This magazine conducted a very detailed interview of Gann that extended to one month. The person who conducted Gann’s interview on the behalf on magazine was supposed to get as much of Gann’s knowledge as possible because in fact, the knowledge of Gann was admired and fantasized by many people but there were very few that could actually understand or comprehend it.
There had been times when Gann made a lot of deals basing upon his knowledge and forecasts and surprisingly all his forecasts reached the level of precision to 85%. For example, W.D Gann once made 286 deals and that too with in the span of 25 days. Out of these 286 deals, 264 deals gained him profit and only 22 deals did not turn out to be successful, which is of course a great margin. Gann also wrote some commendable books such as Tunnel thru the air, 45 years in Wall Street, Gann Philosophy, how to make profit in commodities, Square of nine principles and many more.
